Au Cirque | New Farm

Au Cirque serves up modern Australian cuisine and is situated in New Farm. Now I don’t normally wake up early enough for breakfast, but this morning I made an exception (10:30am is still considered early for me). By the time we had arrived it was quite busy and we were seated upstairs by the window that looked out on the street.

If you knew me, you would know how indecisive I was and took about 20 minutes to order, but opted out of the Eggs Benedict with Ham (Pictured below).

Eggs Benedict with Ham

You can choose whether to have bacon, ham ($15.50) or salmon ($16.50). I love a good eggs benny, and I give this one my thumbs up. The egg pictured above was a bit sad when I cracked it open but the other one turned out perfect but I was halfway through my meal so it didn’t look pretty enough to be photographed. The hollandaise sauce is seriously a winner – the added dill is just top notch. Overall the only thing bad about this is that there’s not enough!

Avocado, Basil, Sea Salt + Fresh Tomato on Pide with the side of Bacon

My friend had ordered the Avocado on Pide with the side of Bacon and said it was very enjoyable with the right amount of crispiness on the bacon 😉 This place is probably one of my favourite breakfast places and I will go here if I wake up early enough. The service was very lovely and we waited about 20 minutes for our meals. So if you’re heading to New Farm and looking for a decent breakfast place – try Au Cirque 🙂
